SALES MANAGER

Job Description: 

The Sales Manager has a strategic view and takes responsibility for the overall customer relationship management related activities within his assigned territory and / or customers. In addition the role requires excellent knowledge of the market conditions, competitive position of the Company and the specific challenges faced in the territory. A good analytical and financial ability is also essential combined with excellent man-management and inter-personal skills. Able to multi-task, drive a diverse and distributed team, provide accurate and concise status reports and deliver the Sales Revenue, GM and CM according to plan.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients.

Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made.

Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.

Identify sales prospects and contract these and other accounts as assigned.

Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts as directed by manager.

Develops and increases sales revenue to meet assigned targets

Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.

Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.

Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contract services.

Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up.

Identify and resolve client concerns.

Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.

Manage RFP processes

Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.

Develop and implement special sales activities to reduce stock.

Other duties as assigned by direct manager.

Reporting:

Provide routine weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting as required by the Company’s procedures to manager.

Provide ad-hoc reports as required.

Maintain a high degree of accuracy in the reporting systems including Sales Force.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment, with the flexibility of working from other locations. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Travel:

This position requires up to 50% travel. Frequently travel is outside the local area and overnight.

Job Requirements: 

Required Education and Experience:

Three to five plus years of sales experience in telecommunication with a minimum or three years of relevant progressive experience

Relevant degree in marketing, business and other relevant field,

Preferred Education and Experience:

Advanced training in recent sales techniques.
